All swabs are made to exact and consistent tolerances using high-precision automated processes, with the easy-to-open, individually wrapped swabs and tube swabs to ensure sterility at point-of-use. The packaging offers clear visibility to the swab and sleeve's seal integrity.

Texwipe’s Sterile Spun Swabs:
- Cotton Swabs are constructed using 100% USP-grade cotton, securely bonded to the wooden or polystyrene handle by a water-based adhesive.
- Polyester Swabs are constructed using 100% USP-grade polyester, securely bonded to the wooden or polystyrene handle by a water-based adhesive.
Texwipe’s Sterile Swabs:
- Alpha® Knit Polyester Swabs are constructed using 100% knit polyester material. Complete thermal bond construction eliminates adhesive contamination.
- CleanFoam® Swabs are constructed using the highest quality 100 ppi polyurethane foam. Complete thermal bond construction eliminates adhesive contamination.
Texwipe’s Sterile Dry Collection and Transport System Swabs:
- They are constructed using 100% USP-grade spun cotton or 100% USP-grade spun polyester securely bonded to a flexible polystyrene handle by a water-based adhesive. The swab is placed into a 1 mm-thick medical-grade polypropylene tube with a seamless molded round-bottom design.

Alpha®, CleanFoam® and Spun Swabs:
- Each swab is individually packaged in a peel-off sleeve.
- Each sleeve is lot coded and has an expiration date (for easy inventory control).
- Fifty (50) sleeves are triple-bagged for easy introduction into the sterile area.
- Triple-bagged bags are packaged in a case liner forming the fourth layer of bag protection.
- Alpha® and CleanFoam® swabs have trademarked light green colored handles (Reg. No. 5,343,973) with “Texwipe” embossed on the handle.
Dry Collection and Transport System Swabs:
- The system is designed to maintain the integrity of both sample collection and sample transport.
- Medical-grade LDPE molded cap securely holds the handle for safety and sterility while sampling.
- Cap rings ensure a tight seal and protect against contamination during transport.
- The tube label has a tamper-evident seal that ensures integrity at point-of-use.
- Lot code and expiration date are marked on each tube.
All Sterile Swabs:
- Gamma-irradiated and sterile validated according to AAMI guidelines.
- Tested for endotoxins, ions, and Non-Volatile Residue (NVR).
- Packaging labeled for global use.
- All sterile swabs have a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture.
